Well, my first impression is that it feels kind of like a hybrid of an A&E Documentary and a Michael Moore film. Many of the interviews seem like people trying to cover their own asses, but some of them feel pretty honest and unflinching. The most riveting part of it is probably the pictures. They're shocking, in some cases disgusting, and very, very damning. It's hard to look at these soldiers as anything less than monsters, even in the light of having read about the infamous Stanford Prisoner Experiment. It's hard to tell yourself that things like this are justified even to prevent terrorists from killing people. |
